President Trump Invites Families of Injured Guard Members to White House
Former President Donald Trump stated on the weekend that he has asked the loved ones of a National Guard member fatally shot last week to visit the presidential home.
He noted that he conversed with her family and they were “devastated”.

US army specialist Beckstrom, 20, was killed in a attack on Wednesday in the nation's capital.
Her fellow service member, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, continues receiving treatment in serious condition.

The president said he’s proposed a visit to the White House for the loved ones of both soldiers of the state National Guard.
“I told them: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a hard experience, come to the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to Sarah,” Trump addressed journalists. “And similarly with Andrew, no matter the outcome.”

Mourners gathered over the past few days at a local school in the state to honor Sarah.
Both the soldiers had been working with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s government program to aid public safety in Washington DC.

“Sarah was the individual that instructors desired. She conducted herself with quiet strength, a bright grin and a upbeat demeanor that encouraged people around her,” Hankins, the principal of her alma mater, informed the Associated Press. “She was sweet, compassionate and always willing to help others.”
Funeral arrangements for Beckstrom are still being arranged.
